How to handle vinyl siding around new window?

I'm adding a new window in my house. I bought a new construction, double hung, window. I'm going to be framing a new rough opening for the window but I'm not sure about the best way to handle the vinyl siding.

Do I just cut out a hole in the siding or should I remove the siding before cutting through the wall?

BTW: What is the best tool for cutting vinyl siding?

Plan ahead!! you will need determine how you will be trimming out theis new window before you start. You will also need some J-channel to go around the window for the siding to go into. Remove as much of the siding as you need to so you can get the wall where the new window will be going. Once you have the opening framed and the window installed, rehanging the siding will be easy. Cut it with tin snips.
