Do I put up the drywall first or install the window / door first?

I am in the midst of a remodeling project. I plan on ripping out the drywall, sliding glass door, and window on my current project, but I don't know the order in which to do stuff after I remove the drywall. Which one should I install first? The sliding glass door and window or the new drywall?

If you need to resize the window or door openings, you would do them first. If you are sure they are the right size, then it really doesn't matter what order you do it in.

In some cases, it's nice to wait until all the drywall dust is gone before installing new doors and windows, or they can get awful dirty if you don't protect them with poly.

The door and window would get installed first - but not the interior trim. The trim goes on after the drywall is finished.

almost forgot welcome to the forums!
