Hello all. Thank you for taking the time to look at my issue and possibly provide any ideas.

Basically, I am having difficulty figuring out how to remove the deadbolt assembly from my large, thick front door. The apparent brand name is "Weiser." I have already removed any visible screws, and I have tried removing the assembly with the lock in both the lock and unlock positions. I've tried whacking it with a hammer, and I don't believe it is stuck due to paint. Do I need to perhaps remove the pin first?

Any ideas are most appreciated.

Welcome to the forums! You'll probably need to remove the two allen head screws that are visible in pix #1.

 

A-ha! I definitely overlooked the fact that those were allen head screws. That did the trick - it came right out!
