We just had a two room addition to our mobile home.The windows have moisture on them. They are storm windows. We would like to know if maybe they were installed wrong and if so what can we do to fix the problem.

There are a multitude of things that could be causing the windows to have moisture on them. Could be an air leak around the window, or poor circulation of the heated air in the house, or just that low end windows were installed, or leaks around the storm windows, etc. Call whoever installed the windows and see what their opinion is. Keep us posted about what they say.

Adding a Vent to an Interior Door

I need to add a vent to an interior fir door to allow for plenty of combustion air into our utility room (gas furnace and gas water heater). One option is to get a new louvered door. The other option would be to cut a couple of holes in the existing door and add some vents. Does anyone know of a source for some good-looking vents that could be installed in a door? I have this beautiful engraved door knocker, but I am not sure how it should be mounted. I have a steel door, and really don't want to drill holes in it. Can you tell me if there are other alternatives to mounting the door knocker without drilling. It was given to me as a Christmas Present, and I really need to get it mounted soon. Read More
