There are several different types of swinging door mechanisms, and you have provided no description. However, most have a pin at the top and bottom of the door. The pin usually sits in a brass plate that is screwed in to the top of the door frame, and a similar plate in the bottom of the door opening.

Remove the screws from the top brass plate and pull the plate down flush with the top of the door. Now with the door open, tilt the top hinge pin towards the opposite side of the door opening, and lift the bottom hinge pin out of the bottom brass plate.

Reverse procedure to re-install.

Thumbs up Doors and WIndows/How to remove a swinging door

Rick - Many thanks, however, prior to receiving your instructions the door was removed by an appliance deliveryman, and I observed him.

In any case, I shall keep your instructions for future reference even though we decided the door is much too heavy for me to lift.
