Stucco separating from doors. How to repair?

Plz help with repair advice.
Stucco is falling out around front door and garage door trim is separating from brick and mortar trim.

Welcome to the forums!

I'd clean out the crack a little and then caulk between the stucco and the wood frame.

clean out all the way around?

What do you think about the idea of chipping out the stucco all the way around the frame and then caulking.
Seem to me a more flexible layer might mitigate further cracking and flaking.

Advisable?

I don't know that I'd go as far as chipping out the stucco but dragging the edge of a putty knife or screwdriver should give you enough area for the caulking to bond to and still look neat.
