Trap door hardware

Separated from door hinge for floor door questions.

It appears that if i put a regular hinge on the trap door, the trap door will pinch against the outside framing and not open up properly. Suggestions?

Welcome to the forums!

I've started a new thread for your question, so that replies to you won't be confused with replies to the earlier question.

I would use Soss hinges. They're invisible (no hinge pin above the floor), strong, and create less of a leaf effect. You might also want to taper, or slant, the side next to the pull.
