Sash window with screen that drops into wall cavity

Hello everyone,
I have a sash window with a insect screen attached to the bottom, so when you open the window the screen lifts up with it from inside the brick cavity.
I need to replace the cords and as I have not done one of these types I am a bit lost.
Any help would be appreciated

What cords are you talking about? Do you mean the old windows with the weights?

I can picture this but if you can post some pictures we might be able to help. I doubt if we have these type windows in the USA.

Look in the tracks where the sashes slid up and down to see if there's a removable panel held in place with a screw. Should be at the bottom.
