Exclamation Sticker Residue On Plastic Frame UPVC Windows - Best Way To Remove?

Hi,

The previous owners had a bunch of stickers on the plastic frame of my living room UPVC windows.

I took as much off as I could with GooGone but it doesn't seem to be working for the residue that is still left. I tried scraping some it off and noticed it would scratch the plastic; so I'm looking for a better way to get this off the plastic window frame.

Can anyone recommend a different product I can try that would help remove this remaining sticker residue off the plastic frame of the UPVC window?

Thank you!

I have had good luck using naphtha - aka lighter fluid.

Mineral spirits is usually the first thing I grab but I don't know if it would harm the PVC. WD40 also works as an adhesive remover and rubbing alcohol sometimes has some value.

I have used a product called "Oops",with good success, but I don't know the chemicals it contains, and if it is any different from the previously mentioned products.

An oil, like the wd-40 mitch mentioned, will usually soften the adhesive. Then most any cleaner will remove the oil. I use a plastic netting on the oil to avoid scratching the surface, but always test in an out of the way spot.
