how do i install a a door on a 2x6 that is bolted to the concrete in the basement as part of a structural requirement and cannot be removed.

Welcome to the forums! What is the measurement across the opening including the 2x6's. It should measure 2" wider than your door slab's measurement. A 36" door will fit in a 38" opening more or less. Bottom line the 2x6 stays, you install your door casing and door and trim it all,inside and out.
