anderson windows - exterior trim
I have anderson windows that are about 25-30 years old. The front windows are about 12 foot wide - 4 sections put together. The vertical trim pieces between each section pulled out - they are damaged and cannot be pushed back in. Can these be purchased/replaced? If not - any tips on how to fix the issue?
Thanks.

Best thing to do is call or email Andersen, give them the info in the corners of the glass along with the size of the exposed glass and any other details.
They often have parts and pieces for older products since they design them well to begin with, they don't change much.
Pics here may give people ideas on other options.

Yes, pictures would help us see exactly what you are talking about. I don't know of any Andersen part that would go between windows. It sounds like something the builder or installer would have fabricated.

Picture of Front window

Hoping the picture gets attached - if not, I'll need to try it again.
It is the strip between each section of windows that needs to be replaced.
Thanks.

The picture is so far away it is hard to see the piece. From the way the closest one is mangled, it looks like aluminum trim coil, which, like I mentioned, is something the installer would have fabricated on site when the windows were installed. The Andersen color is probably terratone, and most siding supply stores will have a color of trim coil that matches Andersen's colors. (like Alcoa terra bronze) But you will probably need a siding company to come and bend the metal and install it.
If you'd like to try to DIY, you will just need to find the aluminum trim coil... find someplace to rent you a metal brake, and then try your hand at duplicating and installing the pieces. They may have just been held on with silicone from behind, or along the edges so that no nails were needed. (looks cleaner)
Maybe you could post a better picture, closeup of the mangled piece and of one not so mangled, just to confirm our suspicions.

I think it may be a snap in mull trim. Pretty sure thats the way Andersen does it when they mull windows together. Been a few years...might be wrong. Have you contacted them yet?

These look like Andersen Perma-Shield Awning Windows. Follow this link to find your part: Parts Catalog
Go to "Joining Components", "Exterior Trim Pieces", Pg. 50. If this helps, call Andersen with the information etched into the corner of the glass.
