Andersen Window Series

I am trying to figure out what series / model # of my anderson window. They are double hung and able to tilt windows for cleaning.

I see the label on the corner but it says "Nfrc 024/026" with another # on the side "090622" I plugged this into their website with no luck.

How do I find out the exact model number?

Thanks

Measure the sash... specifically the unobstructed glass measurements of each sash, expressed as horizontal x vertical (width x height). Based on that we should be able to give you a model number.

Unless it's really old...there should be more info than that.

Andersen has some of the best tech help you can find and they will walk you through it as long as you are in front of the window.

What exactly is the issue?

Ok thanks. The issue is that the windows are a single pane of glass. In the winter time you can feel the draft coming through the glass of these windows. I wanted to purchase some type of screen / glass combo that I can use year round. I can use the screen in the summer, and easily switch to glass in the winter.

That way I have 2 panes of glass and less draft from the windows themselves.

And I doubt your windows are single pane unless like Vic said, they are very old. Andersen started using double pane welded glass units that are 3/8" thick back in the 60's. Most people "think" they are single glass.

A closeup picture of the exterior of the window showing the edge of glass and glazing strip might be in order. Opening the window a couple inches to show us the weatherstrip on the sill may also help.

But the glass size should tell use the series and model #.

Same question, but with measurements

I, too, have the Andersen NFRC 024/026 windows and can't determine which model they are. (I'm trying to order screens for 2 of them.) They measure 28" wide x 70" high.

Are you measuring on the outside of the house, from outside of frame to outside of frame? And from top of window frame to bottom of sill? (not including any trim) A model #2456 Narrowline doublehung that is close to that size would measure 29 5/8 x 69 1/4. There is also cottage style, where the top sash is smaller than the bottom sash, or equal sashes.

A 400 series tilt wash DH (TW2456) and Woodwright DH (WDH2456) would measure 29 5/8 x 68 7/8.

It might help to know the exact model of DH and the exact size... not a ballpark size. You can also go directly to Andersen's website and service enter, which is where you would obviously get the best answers and results.

24/26 simply means that insulating glass unit is used in units that start with 24XX and 26XX. Its turned one way for use in a 24XX and rotated 90 degrees when used in a 26XX.

Thanks. Admittedly, I am bad at measuring. The top and the bottom halves of the window are equal sized and the windows do not tilt. Looking at replacement screens on andersenpartsreplacement.com I found model TW24510 measures 27 7/8 x 70 27/32" and it says it's "Cottage Style." Do you think that could be it?

No. Cottage style are not equal sized. TW stands for tilt wash. If they do not tilt, that is most likely a Narrowline DH. Model #2456, if the exact outside measurements are like I mentioned above. 29 5/8 x 69 1/4.

You are awesome. Thank you. Maybe you could help me figure out the two Andersen crank windows in my kitchen that also need screens?: NRC 001/002 HP Low E CMA CIC 310090323 17" x 31.5"

if you are measuring the glass, that is probably an AR31. You would want to verify those dimentions against those specs. These are awnings? An awning hinges at the top.

No, they aren't awning windows, just two side by side crank windows over my sink. I couldn't find anything under AR31.

Those are called "Casements". Probably a CN13, which measures 20 1/2 x 35 15/16". unobstructed glass = 16 1/8 x 31 1/8.
