Patio door with doggie door

I am new to this forum and have a few questions about replacing sliding patio doors. The rough opening is 71 1/2 inch wide stud to stud and 81 1/4 high header to concrete floor. It is in a brick home and I would like to not redo bricks for more room. I want to include a doggie door in my replacement french doors, but everything I find on line is too wide or too tall. I was thinking half lite doors with dog door in one lower panel. Does anyone make something like this without special ordering?

I guess I could put in 5 ft french doors and wall in the extra space and put a dog door in the wall, but would rather have something to fit my opening. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Cut a hole in the bricks somewhere else and put the dog door through the wall.

You can get a window/door made for your opening. The only bad side is it will be more money then a standard door. I had a choice of a custom patio door to fit my opening or a standard 5' patio door. The custom door was $500+ more than the standard door.

I think your best option is to get a 5' door and then install the doggy door in the left over space as you mentioned.

Patio door

I found a 3/4 light door with sidelights that will fit my opening. It has a metal threshold with grooves for silicone on the bottom. Will this be enough water proofing for installing on a concrete slab, or should I do something else? House is 10 years old and that is the way metal sliding doors are installed now.
