Door knob fell off

My bedroom doorknob fell off. It's one of those knobs where you push in the room facing knob and it locks. The knob on the other side is hat fell off. The knob has two dimples on it, and the shaft is a square. Here's a pic.Name: 20140813_074616[1].jpg

One of the lock guys should be in later. Can't see good enough but a lot of time the knob goes over a spring pin.

Isn't there a set screw to keep it in place?

You're not locked in this room, are you?? Quite possibly a new lockset is in order.

Almost looks like the end of the square shaft has a threaded hole? Is there some sort of cover or access on the handle? Does the handle rattle when you shake it?

Never saw that before, but who knows?

It rattles. No, it does not mean to be threaded. If you stick a tapered shaft into there then it will unlock.

I wasn't being a smarty when I asked about being locked in the room. We actually had a poster from another country solicit our help because his door lock was stuck and he couldn't leave his apartment until he could contact his manager to have it unlocked. He did say he had enough food for a couple of days.

Nope, I'm not locked in the room. I'm outside. It locks on the other side.
