Old metal winder - glass replacement

Hola,

So i'm having a problem that I've spent to days on I can't figure out how to get the glass into this window. I'm wondering if something is supposed to be removed - like the bottom lip and slide the glass up - or there's a specific strategy to employ... tired of cutting up my fingers!

The entire sash is what needs to be removed. Once its out, I believe the 4 pieces of the sash come off the glass. There is probably a screw on each corner of the sash that holds it all together, but you can't get to those screws until you remove the sash from the frame. Some don't have screws, they are just swaged together. To remove the sash, I believe you have to remove the entire window frame from the house.... remove the top (or bottom) of the frame, then slide the sash out. I believe the frame is screwed on or nailed on from the outside. You may have to remove exterior window trim, or depending on how it was built, you ay have to cut the siding back if they put the siding on over the nailing fin.

so that entire piece has to come out? I'm fairly certain the window was built at the same time as the house itself was built as there is no removal to it that I saw it's like embedded in on the sides
