Window Frame Rot Inside Corner

I have a large 6'x4' picture window that is starting to rot in the interior corner. This just appeared all the sudden a couple weeks ago. I live in Ohio and the last 2 winters have been very cold. I think this may be a condensation problem. Maybe ice built up inside the frame, melted and caused this discoloring to suddenly appear? I think it's weird that only the vertical pieces of wood are black. You'd think condensation would run down & rot the horizontal wood instead.

The wood has swollen and bulged the seal inside the glass panes (you can see it in the picture). A small crack appeared in the corner of the seal so I'm afraid the gas may have leaked out.

Is there anything that can be done to repair or at least stop the rot from getting worse? Thanks for your help.

The first thing you need to do is figure out where the water is coming in and resolve that. Once solved, you can treat the rotten area with a product such as PC Epoxy .
