Swisco??
Brant, or others. In your opinion would a Swisco spring assembly be the appropriate one for this? I have a client who has one entire assembly MISSING from the window. Where it went??? Who knows. I need to replace two of the hold in clips, too. Pics below.

I've never seen a vinyl window with a spring balance that isn't in a u-channel. I would need a better photo of the top and bottom attachment points... the pivot shoe where the string attaches. Usually the u-channel covers the spring and it has printed the length and lbs of the spring.
Is there a window that's not broken that you can compare?

Maybe these threads will help.
Patriot Window replacement parts : SWISCO.com
series 1100 patriot window balancer : SWISCO.com
Keep an eye on the parts they suggest on the right, when you read the thread. Looks like they might call it a crossbow balance. New one on me.
Amazon sells those tilt latches in the bottom pic. You just need to make sure you have the length and width right to get the correct one.

Some of their windows have shrouds over the springs, and some don't. I'll try to get by and take pictures of the top attachment. It is a single screw at the top, and the sash at the bottom. I'll need to know the width of the channel in order to buy the right one, anyway. I was hoping the NFRC sticker would give some idea of make.
I'll check with Amazon for the latch. Swisco didn't have that particular design. Closest was Andersen.
Thanks.

You also usually want to know the length of the channel. They are most often replaced in pairs so that you're sure both sides lift equally.
