Screw installed with glue

I need to replace the door handle on my sliding glass door. The previous owners installed the screws with glue, and I have now completely stripped the screw trying to get it out. I have tried a screw extractor, acetone, and heat all with no success. Any advice?

Welcome to the forums.

Once dried..... most glues aren't dissolvable. You may have to carefully drill out the screw.

That is about as close as I have ever cut it to the 3 min. rule.

Use a dremel type tool with a metal cutting blade in it to cut a straight notch in the screw head so you can get a flat head screw driver on it. If that doesn't work, use the same to cut the screwhead off completely to get the old handle out. Then address the new to get a new hole to attach the replacement.
