installing new windows

I am not sure if this is the forum or not. I am replacing my double hung windows with new construction double hung. I have done 2 so far. My issue is i have 2 windows in the back of the house. I have a sunroom attached perpendicular to the the back. I can walk easily on the sunroom's roof to get access to the windows but I cannot get to 1 side of the each window due to the roof's slope.
I paint the back of my house by going on the on the sunroom's roof but I have a sprayer so I get to everything.
Can I build a safely platform to get up the 1 foot that I need to reach this area?
Should I use 1 ladder jack, plank and use the roof peak as the other ladder jack? I might be too high if I do that.

Thanks for any input
Brian
