Doors or Floors?

Have 9 doors to install on an addition.......

Thought it smart to install the doors after the flooring (a few tile, mostly wood).

guessing that the doors would be a much better fit at the bottom if all the floors were already in.....I realize, especially with wood floors, one would need to be careful not to scratch, but can be patient and careful since not on any schedule.

Would appreciate some comments or suggestions....

Thanks,

Flbuild, Central Florida......

Doors are usually installed first, shimmed off subfloor slightly and then jambs are undercut as needed by the floor installers.

The one thing you will run into installing the doors last is the possibility of having to raise one leg of the frame to make it square in the hole. Now you are flush on one side and a gap on the other. Installing doors first with a modest gap, then undercutting to the specific floor height is always best, but not as convenient.
