Question Do you need weatherstripping if you have storm windows?

My wood windows are covered by triple track storms. Windows fit too tight for adhesive/vinyl weather stripping. The only type that would allow the windows to slide freely is brass weather stripping. It's quite expensive. Do I really need it if I have the storms?

I doubt the small incremental improvement in comfort or energy savings it would make would be worth the effort or expense.

If there is condensation on the inside of the storm window, that means warm are is getting through the wood window. Depending how bad the condensation is would determine if weather stripping would be worth it.
