Planning closet doors

I am looking to install side by side doors for a large closet. Obviously there's going to be no door jam in the middle. So how do you make the doors lock on at the top when you close them? Any hardware recommendations?

I've read that Home Depot's double doors are really heavy when they arrive. So I'm going to by two pre-hung doors and then build my own top side part of the door jam. This shouldn't be too hard right?

Double doors are always heavier than single door prehungs but I doubt it would be worth the effort to do it all on site, be easier to get a helper

When you hang the doors, be sure you put 3" screws in the interior jamb hinge holes. If you dont, they will eventually sag together and hit in the middle. Yeah you can probably buy a premortised jamb kit, then just add a new longer head piece... but if the doors are premortised, be sure they match the mortises on the jambs.
