How to install a door?
I am framing my basement out with 2 5/8 steel track and studs. Is there limitation on the weight the door can be with this framing? I plan on stalling a wood door with a wood jamb from a home center around me. Can you walk me through the process?
Thanks!

You didn't leave us much to go on.
Is this an exterior door ?
Is this a door set in block ?
Or is this a door between rooms in the basement ?

The frame in which the door is attached will carry the weight of the door. I like to bolster the stiffness of the metal stud on the hinge side by ripping a 2x4 and inserting it into the stud cavity, but it isn't necessary.
You will build your door opening 2" wider than your door, so if you have a 36" door you will build your wall opening at 38". Likewise you will header off the wall opening to 82+". This will allow you to slide the door in the opening after your drywall is up and attach it firmly to the plumbed stud on the hinge side and shim it on the strike side. Ensure the frame is squarely in the opening by using a framing square and level.
