Help with patio doors - low, mid grade opinions cost, etc

Hi.

I need to replace in a few months a sliding aluminum door that goes from the kitchen to a 3 season room. I don't know that much about the various grades, brands, etc.

What I do know is that of course Anderson, Pella, Jeld-Wen are top of the line, BUT I think I'm looking for more of a mid grade door that may last maybe 10 years?

I just read that the average price installed is about $1k to $1.5k. A door is not something I think I'm comfortable installing (a sliding one anyway).

I also DON'T WANT built in blinds and stuff, just a basic (preferably white) vinyl type sliding door.

Any opinions welcome.

Have you considered installing double doors or a single door along with a side lite?
