Retractable screen door missing latch
I have a retractable screen door that was here when we bought the house. There was never a latch mechanism since we lived here, and it is unclear exactly how it would work. I do not see anything on the door or the frame that would obviously be part of the latch.
I do not know the brand as there is no labelling on the screen.
Does anyone know what brand this might be or what type of latch it would use?

There are several styles. Your hardware will need to be removed and replaced with something that is similar but not necessarily the same. Here is an example.

Also check out the similar ones that others have purchased.
Or you could look on web sites like swisco or allaboutdoors. Remove your latch from your door and do some measuring. Then check the size of the part you are looking at online to see if its a match.

I looked at that, and I dont think that will work. There is nothing for that type of latch to hook onto, nor any way that I can see to add something on. The others on Amazon all appeared to be the same style.
Some retractable screen doors come with magnetic latches, but online, I've not been able to tell if they are similar to what I've got, and I haven't found any latches like that being sold separately.

If you could give us some clues as to the door mfg, it might help. Are there any markings on the hinges? Or an etching in one of the corners of the glass? Or on the aluminum spacer between the panes? On the top of the door slab?

It is a retractable screen door, so there are no hinges or glass. There are no markings on it at all that I have found (just looked again) - I checked the frame and the housing for the screen mechanism, and there is nothing. It is odd (and frustrating), but it was the first thing I checked before I posted here as I was hoping to find a manufacturer who might sell the replacements.
