Question about new entry door

I have an entrance front door I am replacing. The rough opening is 51 1/2-52 in wide. The height from the 2X4 on bottom of sill is 83 1/2 in. When looking for front fiberglass doors the sizes are 6ft 8 in or 7 ft. The question is is the 7 ft (84 in) a true size. Meaning is it say 83 1/2 or a Little less. Plus what is the real size for the 6ft 8 in size. If I use the 6ft 8in size and it is the true size I will have to fill up the space of about 2 in-3in.
I am also getting the molding in the color of the door to go around the frame. How much space would that take up ? This is why I am worried about having to add wood and painting it to match the rest of the door.

A 6'8" door is about 83 1/4 when measured from the bottom of the sill nose to the top of the 2" brickmould.

A 7' door will be 4" taller than that, so it would not fit.

You need the rough opening size not the size of the door.
Does the door your replacing have side lights?
