In stalling new fiberglass front door

I am installing a new fiber glass front door. I am going to replace the bottom 2X6 under the old sill. Have not taken old door out yet. When I replace the old 2X6 under sill if there is old cement and to make the new 2X6 level can I use a quick plug (fast acting cement). Other wise cement would take to long to dry. I might build up the new quick plug a little so that at the top of the door I only will have about 1/2. It all depends on when I try and put in new door. Not sure exactly how much room at the top of door I will have.

Why does the 2x6 need to be replaced? Is the saddle not level now?

The 2X6 is about 30 years old. The new door comes with a saddle. The 2X6 is a little worn on the out side. Just wondering about the quick plug to install under the 2X6?

You would level the 2x6 under your door with shims, if needed. You would also need to caulk underneath it to prevent air from passing under it.
