Pet door for sliding door (vinyl)
I'm looking to get a dog and want to install a pet door for a sliding door facing the backyard. I just learned why aluminum and vinyl are not interchangeable. For the aluminum, you have to drill holes in your sliding door to secure the pet door insert. I guess for the vinyl there is no drilling required.
My question is, if anyone knows or has a well educated guess, since there is no drilling required for the vinyl door, does that make it easy for someone to kick it in? I know if someone wants to get in they will, but I'm curious how easy would it be if someone wanted to use the pet door insert as opposed to say, break the glass or kick in the hard plastic lockable flap on the actual dog door (if they're small enough to fit through there, which could be the case since I'm planning to get a medium to large dog).
TIA.
