tubular skylight installed with dome in fake dormer?
Hello
my first post. Anyone have any reasons why I shouldn't install a tubular skylight with outside portion located in a fake dormer (a dormer only exposed to unoccupied attic space)? Right now the dormer is covered with shutters. Picture attached (sorry about the quality). I'd like to install a real window in it to allow light to reach the dome of the skylight within the dormer. The other end will provide natural light to a bathroom. Why?
It should be easier to prevent leaks/moisture issues since I am not penetrating the roofing envelope.
It seems easy to install that way.
I appreciate any wisdom you care to share!

From the ones I've seen in operation.... direct sunlight on the dome gives the best light. You wouldn't get too much direct sun on that dormer window.
