Pocket Door Repair
#1
We have a pocket door on our closet and the connection at the top (in the back, of course) has come off. Any way to fix this without tearing out a wall? I'm sure this was hung before the wall was enclosed.
Thanks!

IF, you are sure all it has done is come off, it is pretty easy to fix with two people.
Slide the door out far enough to see the first (front ) roller and see how it is in the track. Put one person in the closet and one outside. Lift the door (pushing and lifting by both people) and move the top of the door high enough to get over the track bar, and then move it in the appropriate direction to slip down on to the track bar.
However, if the rear roller is missing, that is a different problem than the one you described.

Rick is right, of course.
I gave you a slightly different reply on the other forum where you posted this same question.
If you pull the door all of the way over, you may be able to use a flat bar on a fulcrum (hammer on the floor , etc.), and pry the back of the door level with your foot on the flat bar while you try to get the back roller in the track.
Good luck!

Pocket Door
Thanks, Guys! We fooled around with it long enough to realize that the back wheel must have snapped off, so I guess we'll have to take off the header (on the closet side, hopefully) and who knows what comes next! Appreciate all your help!
