Handle/latch for 1960 Vintage 1-1/8" Wood Storm Door

The cast metal latch broke on this original wood storm door. The replacement doesn't hold the door securely enough in strong winds.

Anyone know where I might find a good handle/latch to fit a 1-1/8" thick storm door? Nickel/silver to match, with a lock of some kind (not necessarily with a key), preferred.

It isn't an exact match, but check ebay. There are similar ones there.

Post a link to one you think will work.

I don't want an exact match to this replacement, it isn't good quality and doesn't hold in the wind.

I've search eBay, Amazon and other stores via Google.

The problem is modern handles are made for aluminum storm doors, or for minimum 1-3/8 thickness.

I don't want to link to ebay here. Just go to ebay and in the search type in "vintage storm door latch".

Any store will have latches that fit modern storm doors. They are commonly 3/4 - 1 1/8 thick. Doesn't matter if your door is wood... any aluminum storm door handle will work.
