Sliding Patio Door Wall - the fixed window moved

Hello,
My sister's home has a sliding patio door on an upper level. The window/door which is supposed to be fixed in place has moved away from the frame at an angle. Is there a latch that should be there? What kind of latch does one use to fix this window in place?

The fixed panel is usually jammed over into the side of the frame, but the manner of securing it differs from door to door. There are literally thousands of unique doors, so without a photo of yours we can only guess.

If it came out, it may have just been siliconed to the frame. If you can pry it out further, look to see if it was ever caulked between the panel and frame. If it was, clean off the old caulk, put new in, and slide the door over as far as it will go. You may need to brace it that way for 24 hrs before using it normally again.
