Hi All, ow can I stop a bedroom door from closing by itself?

Take one or more hinge pins out and whack them gently with a hammer to give it just a very slight bend. VERY slight.

There are spring loaded hinges. They can be set to apply a opening or closing force. They are not the best if you want the door to just stay in position but work great if you want the door to stay open or closed.

OSI Quad Exterior Only

I just finished doing some interior caulking/air sealing around a couple windows and after finishing I noticed the tube says "Exterior Use Only" on it. What's the deal with this? Is it toxic or something? I'm guessing it should be fine since the areas I caulked will be covered with drywall, correct? New patio door leaks

I waited over 3 months for a new patio door. It was installed by a long established, well reviewed company last week. Today we had rain that was blowing directly on the door. The door is leaking from the lower right seam (basically where 2 of the 4 pieces of framing around the door meet at the glass). Obviously, I will be contacting them. I want a new door. My question is, is that reasonable? I really don't think they should be allowed just to caulk a defective brand new door. I can clearly see where the water is seeping in and it seems to have nothing to do with the install.Read More
