Doggie Door

i have a doggie door in my mud room and it is very simple- a hole cut in the wall with a flap in it. If I want to keep the dog inside or outside, I have a metal sheet that slides into a track covering the hole. This was a Kit that I installed. Problem is that in the winter that room gets cold and pipes freeze since the door is not insulated. I want to put in something heavier duty and insulated that will swing both ways- any suggestions?

Put a triple doors. the one you have, another one on other side of opening with a blanket flap in the middle. Not perfect but better than what you have.
