HELP: Neuffer Tilt Window Screen Install

We bought our house about a year ago and it came with the really nice European style windows from Neuffer. They are really nice windows, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to install the screens. There are clips on the outside and I can get one edge in (like the bottom) but then not the others (top or sides). Anyone have any idea how to tackle this? Here is a picture of the clip. Thanks!!

How about a photo that shows the whole window and screen?

These are a German made window. Tell us the model and type.
Go to their web site and ask for information

Doh. That'd probably help huh? I tried to get one installed and couldn't get it in.
But I left if there so you can see from the profile how they are supposed to clip in.

I messed up. They are Winkhaus windows. Not enough coffee this morning clearly.

And I sadly, can't find a model number of the window on the window anywhere. I will have to look again. All I can find is numbers on the locking mechanism. And they Winkhaus website doesn't seem to mention screens anywhere so I think these may be after market but I'm not sure.

Or maybe Winkhaus just makes the hardware for the window. I've confused myself now.

It appears the window on the right(in the pic) of the 2 window unit has a insert. Is it a screen? The clips don't appear to part of the original window since they would prevent anything from being inserted.

The window on the right has the screen resting in the clips on the bottom of the window. The problem is I can't figure out how to get it in the clips on the right side or the top (no clips on the left side of that screen as there is another screen that just butts up against it).

I tend to agree that the screens are probably not OEM.

Assuming both windows slide horizontally to open and you want to screen both windows, take good measurements (X & Y) of the window frame and go to a window screen repair shop and have a single screen made using aluminum extrusion. Attach with aluminum screws wedged into window frame.

Well I already have screens so I'd prefer to not spend money on new ones. I just wish I knew how to get the darn things installed.

I would try taking the screen clips off the window, then put them onto the screen edges. Then see if you can just push the screen on until it "snaps" onto the frame.

Are there only 5 clips per screen? And do the slide around freely? If so, on that left window, slide all the clips on top and bottom to the far left side of the window. Then slide the screen onto all 5 the clips at the same time until the screen fits into the frame. Once it's engaged to all 5 clips, slide the top and bottom right clip to the right side.

Might be similar to how these screens are installed.

Thanks. Clips move around but not real freely, and there are only the three sides (not the middle). Sliding might work. They are pretty big clips into the window so I hadn't tried pulling them all out but might try that if sliding doesn't work.

I can't see how that screen with those retaining clips can hold the screen close enough against the window frame so as to keep out bugs. Does the screen fit the opening without the clips?

Yeah they fit without the clips I think. I honestly haven't taken all the clips out to verify it.

If they fit snugly without the clips then don't use the clip and instead us a bow tie type latch.
