Old Dexter doorknob removal

I've removed lots of doorknobs before that have the little tab you press first, then that allows you to remove the handle/knob. But I've got a broken exterior door knob by DEXTER with a lock that I can't even open and it has NO tab. The closest thing it has is an indention, and as you can see by the picture, I've already beat that tab up pretty well trying to push on it to see if that helps it release. It doesn't. It's stuck. I've got to get it off eventually. Any tips?

There is no tab to push and the knob does not come off separately. You just need to remove the 2 screws and pull the two halves out of the door.

If it doesn't come apart it's likely just jammed up on the latch. You might need to push the latch in and out manually to free up one side or the other.

Oh, of course! I saw those screws and wondered as much but thought they'd just take the flange off and be of no help. I was sure I was overlooking something simple though, and I was! Thanks.
