Bi fold louvered pine doors too tight for opening?

I just bought some white louvered solid pine bi-fold doors (2) for my mothers closet that she needed as it didn't have any. The opening is roughly 79 x 48 and the doors are of course 80 x 24 (x2) and they fit very snugly from top to bottom in the opening.

Is it ok to saw a little off the top of the doors? I have to measure again, but I believe the opening is only 79 inches from floor to top of door frame.

I would take it off the bottom. As it will be less noticeable.
Also if the door has a hinge hole on the bottom that you are using, check the depth as you may have to drill it out a little,

Thanks, but the top would be more hidden I think as its up under when viewed from front.

EDIT: Wait, maybe you're right!
