Drafty window

I have a window that is beginning to have a serious draft. What exactly do I need to look at to figure out what is wrong?

If I post some pictures on here, can you guys help me out with this? If so, what parts of the window should I take pictures of? I know the pictures may not tell the whole story, but at least it will be an illustration that can be used as a guide.

We need some descriptive way of explaining where the draft is coming from. A picture of the whole window plus one just a little closer to the drafty area. And maybe one or two on the outside of the house.

Thanks, XSleeper. As I was trying to find the direct area the draft was coming out of, I actually figured out the issue. I just bought the house recently and didn't know the window has two moving panes. The outer one was open about an inch at the top. I have blinds obstructing the view, so never noticed it.

A dumb moment, but it worked out. Thanks again!

I was going to mention that but I thought.... nah.

I once had to drive 100 mile round trip to lock a customer's window. Didnt make me happy when i saw the problem.

Those are the moments you're not exactly sure what you should say. But I know what NOT to say!
