Moved into a brand new construction recently. All doors like bathrooms and closets are solid wood doors, inch thick I'm guessing. However, despite using flat-head 3/4" wood screws, it punctured through a bit on the outside when I was installing towel holder. Is there a trick on how to fix this somehow? Obviously touching up with white paint will hide the grayish look but not the bumps. I don't want to try to sand it down until some pros here confirm best remedy. Thank you.

For the past day I have been racking my brain on a pre-hung door install. I have installed one before and while not 100% perfect, it had an even gap, closes well etc. Well my second door is driving me mad. It is a pre-hung Jeld-Wen door from Home Depot. I have it so it closes, doesn't swing and is not in bad shape, considering I am convinced my whole house is crooked. The one is I am having is the bottom is rubbing ever so slightly on the hinge side door stop. It is barely noticeable, but if/when the door and jamb are painted, it will be a problem. The problem is no matter what adjustment I make, I can not fix the issue. I would move the door stop, as suggested in many other threads but it looks to me like the new frames have an integrated stop machined into it, it doesn't appear to be a separate piece that I can adjust and bump over slightly. Need a second set of eyes to help me identify what adjustment I missing that is causing this? In the picture I attached, you can see the differing gap across the door and the stop from top to bottom. Rubbing in the red circled area, very slightly.
