Glue/gel on inside glass of double pane Window

I have a double pane window that has developed some kind of white substance on the inside glass. It looks like glue has dripped down. I don't see anything at the top of the window that would have leaked it though. The window does not appear compromised. No moisture or rusting. It is 16yrs old. Original to when the home was built. The wind does have plastic lattice inside it but the substance is above/below this so it's not from that. I tried to attach a Pic but the site won't let me. New member maybe?

Welcome to the forums.

If you see something between the glass panes.... it usually means the original seal has been broken, the inert gas they put in has leaked out and humid air is now entering.

Try this........... How-to-insert-pictures.

Thanks, I still couldn't do it from my phone but I uploaded the pic to my pc and it worked. I know it looks like it is on the outside, like I can wipe it, but it is not. It is on the inside of the window

I have never seen anything like that between the glass panes.
The pros will be by. We'll see what they say.

As Pete said, if you cannot clean it off either on the inside or outside of the glass, then it is between the 2 panes. If that is the case, your only option is to replace the glass, which any glass company can do for you. You do not need to replace the entire window, just the insulated glass unit.
