Determining the manufacturer of my entry door
How do I find out who manufactured our exterior steel door? The top hinges is 6 5/8” from the top and the deadbolt lock is 38 1/2” from the top.

Often there are no identifying marks.
Does it have glass? Look for a watermark. Is there any etching on the aluminum spacer bar (between the panes of glass) Do the hinges have any writing? Does the sill nose have any writing? Style of door bottom sweep can be a clue. Look on all edges of the door for any kind of label, including the top. With no photos we have no chance of knowing what it even looks like. Wood frame or aluminum frame? A photo of the exterior of the sill and exterior of the door might help.
And why do you need to know the brand in the first place?

Thank you this was helpful. It does not have glass but we want to have glass put into where the top panel is on the door. The place where our builder said he bought the door had no record of it and needed to know what the brand is of the door. I will check all the things you mentioned. Thank you!!
