I am making a new bathroom wall and i'm considering using a pocket door to save some room.I have never done anything like this and i really don't know where to start.I was hoping to find a prehung assembly but i have yet to find anything besides a track to install.
could anyone give me some help on finding one or some tips on how to form the wall? i dont know how to make a wall with no studs.
thanks for any help.

If you haven't found a pre-hung pocket door, you are looking in the wrong place. That is how 95% of them are sold! To install a 30" pocket door, you need to frame a 61" opening for it. Find the door first and there should be some sort of instructions with it telling you exactly what size opening it will require.

Thanks alot for the advice it is encouraging.I was about to give up on a pocket door or get a carpenter to install one, which would mean admitting defeat.I am located in lafayette, louisiana does anyone know where i could find a door? Again thanks for the help.

If Home Depot or Menards can't help you, try any lumber yard where your local contractors shop.
