Where the card is the door is hitting the front of the frame so I have pull on the handle to close the door. What sort of adjustment would fix this?
Thanks
Two adjustments, get a block of wood and hold it at the point where the door hits the stop molding and give a mild tap or two, it will slightly push the door stop molding. Note, it may break the paint slightly.
Second, completely remove and reinstall the stop with the door in the closed latched position, you will then have to do a little patch and paint!
Just inspected a house yesterday - most of the windows in this 2009 house do not close completely. Inspector said vinyl windows get twisted and my options are replacement or spacers in the latches.
Would this label make it possible to find exact same match new part? If not, is it possible to install new windows into old frames (i.e. no painting no dust installation) or would be be a bigger job?
Broke the outside glass of the fixed double panel of our bow window.
it is a vinyl window.
any advise how to replace it and if it can be done from inside ?
