Hi, I wonder if anyone could help. We have a wooden window sill in the bathroom and we need to protect it as we can see that water is penetrating the wood. As you can see in the picture, the sill has rounded edges. What would be the best option in terms of impermeabilizing or protecting the wood? Many thanks in advance. Okay, first things first. I’m new-ish to DIY as of last year. We just purchased a home where the previous owners were DIYers, but they were so lazy we will have to go through and fix everything they touched. I’ve never owned stained doors, just painted so I’m wondering, when I re-stain them, do I have to apply the top coat/varnish to the door jam as well? Some of the doors are matte (probably bought at the store and just hung up) and some have a really high gloss but the door jams are all matte so I’m not really sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
