So we have this door with blinds between the glass. And like many others, ours have become very hard to open up, and about half way down, the magnet becomes detached and moves freely. As many others have said online, I am able to push it back up and snap it back in place. It takes two snaps, not sure what's happening inside but the first snap is not as solid, but if I keep pushing up very hard it fully snaps back into place. However this doesn't fix the issue. It allows me to try to open the blinds again, but it always just snaps back off about half way down.
This makes it not only unable to open the blinds, but even to just tilt the slats open.
Any ideas on how to fix this? It really doesn't look like I'm able to open this glass up at all, as it's sealed. I think it's just a lost cause, but wondering anyone has dealt with this before.
Thanks I kind of figured as much. Although the door is only about 4 years old, so I may be able to find replacements. However it would probably cost us as much to do that as the door cost us 4 years ago lol. Just kinda mad that we really only got a year or two of operability out of these blinds.
If Andersen.... I'm seeing a 10 year warranty on E series doors.
Limited Warranty on Hardware, Weatherstripping, Blinds and Insect Screens
The hardware (including the finish on Limited Lifetime Brass), weatherstripping, blinds and insect screens on Andersen E-Series products are warranted to be free from defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship for ten (10) years from the date of purchase from the retailer/dealer.
No idea what you have but check into the warranty. Andersen warranty
Good idea, but it looks like my door is made by Distinction Doors. I looked them up and while they do mention 10 year and 25 year warranties, it only seems like it's on finish and structure, no mention of blinds at all thag I can find. Almost like Lowes built these doors using distinction doors and had them custom fitted with the blinds. (got it through Lowes)
I will call Lowes though, I don't think we have any paperwork on it anywhere.
I have one Pella Designer series casement window that does not close tightly at the bottom. It is a good seal at the top, but has a pretty big gap at the bottom. I noticed it this winter when it was really cold outside. I am attaching two pictures of this gap. The pictures show the gap with the rope caulk I put in the gap to stop the cold air from coming in. Do any of you know if there is a way to adjust how tightly the window closes at the bottom. I have looked it over really well now that it has warmed up and cannot find any way to adjust this. Everything on the sill and around the closure hardware is clean; so, it isn't debris stopping this from closing the same at the bottom as it does at the top. Thanks for any help.

I had a window pane Get broken and I need to replace that glass. I've already ordered the glass to put back in place but I need to know if there are any considerations I need to make whenever I put the window pane back in place and any tidbits or videos that I can watch that will help me? And since I've never taken one out what am I looking at in order to get that window removed?
