This is the first time I am doing a major bathroom remodel and this question is regarding replacing the window.
I have removed the trim ( nothing to remove at the bottom, right?)
will remove the 4 screws ( 2 on both sides ) holding the window
what next ?
Do I need to pry out the white strip ( I used a line to point)
Once you take all the screws out the only thing holding it will be the caulking on the outside perimeter. Get outside on a ladder and cut that caulk on all 4 sides with a knife and push the window toward the inside, top first. The entire window will come out.
Standard Overhead Door no Electric Opener, has the standard turn handle to engage the bars to lock the door. One side of the bars has become misaligned with the hole in the track (by maybe 3/8") that it formerly went through to lock. Any Ideas?
We have four somewhat large dual pane windows with SDLs now that have condensation between the panes. I got a quote to replace just the glass, not the whole window frame and was shocked! Almost $900 per window.
I have also see some adverts for systems that create a small hole at the top and on the bottom and appear, somehow, to clean them out. But I sense these are controversial? And they may damage the insulation rating of the windows?
Are there any better alternatives to replacement? Or are there better places to look for better pricing?
