Condensation Between Double Pane Low-e Windows

We have four somewhat large dual pane windows with SDLs now that have condensation between the panes. I got a quote to replace just the glass, not the whole window frame and was shocked! Almost $900 per window.

I have also see some adverts for systems that create a small hole at the top and on the bottom and appear, somehow, to clean them out. But I sense these are controversial? And they may damage the insulation rating of the windows?

Are there any better alternatives to replacement? Or are there better places to look for better pricing?

All you can do is shop around for quotes. Last big insulated glass unit (IGU) I got a quote on was also $900 due to the fact that once they reach a certain size they need to use thicker glass which costs way more.

How old are your windows and who is the manufacturer?
Also, how large are they?

I would first check to make sure your windows aren't covered under warranty.
