Casement window alignment issue

I have some casement windows that seem to be misaligned. When you close them they are closed at the bottom but have a gap as you get closer to the top. I have not found information on how you can adjust them to fix this issue, these are Caradco windows. they are old but in decent shape. they have an arm that you pull up to open, pull down to close, not a crank. there is some sticking also.

Is the gap consistent around the top part of the window or is it in one corner or edge?

Most are not adjustable. Misalignment is usually concealed or filled in with weather stripping.

It's more as you go up to the top than at the bottom on one side The gap is consistent around the edges. at the bottom the window is flat when you close but as you go up on one side a gap starts. Like if I could adjust it at the top to be more plumb it should fix the issue.

There is generally no adjustment but you can try wiggling to see if there is any movement in the window. Maybe the hinges have become worn. First I would inspect to see if the weather stripping needs to be replaced.

I would say you have some hinge screws loose or possibly a plastic guide has broken. Impossible to say without being able to see the parts. There are dozens of styles of hardware. Or as Pilot Dane mentioned, you might have some fin weatherstripping that is coming out of the sash, making it look like it is gapped open. I agree there is no "adjustment".
