Sealing bottom of exterior door

Hi all,

I'm trying to seal my front exterior door. I purchased a door bottom seal, but the gap is not big enough, and the door will not close with it installed. I felt the bottom of the door and can feel two groves. Is there a different solution for doors like this, something that fits in the grooves maybe?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like someone has hung a different door on there than the original. That's really what's hosing you.

Thanks for the response XSleeper. To compound things, I rent, and I've been told any repairs less than $100 are the tenant's responsibility, but this looks like more than just installing a door sweep.

I think an interior door sweep might be all you can do there.
