Loose hinges make door hard to open & close

My bedroom door has recently become difficult to open and close. I see that the top 2 of the 3 hinges are loose because the screws have lost purchase and will not fully tighten. So the door is sagging a little. If I raise the door by hand while opening and closing, it's easier.

What's the best/easiest solution for loose hinge screws? I'm afraid wider diameter screws won't fit through the hinge holes. Searching the forum found something about sticking wooden match sticks in the holes. I guess they would have to be fragments of match sticks. Is this the best DIY solution?

Fix the wood. Glue and matchsticks, golf tee, or drill glue and dowel.

Use the same size but at least 2-1/2" long screws so they bite into the framing behind the door jamb.

If it's a Masonite door there is a small amount of wood around the perimeter of the door so longer screws don't do anything.

Don't use matches or toothpicks, get some 3/8" serrated wood dowels, drill out the hole, glue, and install the dowel and predrill, it will be better than new.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I wasn't more explicit that the loose screws are in the door, not the jamb.
